LIVE: तूतीकोरिन हिंसा के घायलों से दिनाकरन ने की मुलाकात
तूतीकोरिन: तमिलनाडु के तूतीकोरिन में एक स्टरलाइट कॉपर कारखाने को बंद किये जाने की मांग को लेकर हिंसक प्रदर्शन के बाद मंगलवार को पुलिस फायरिंग में 11 लोगों की जान चली गई थी जबकि बुधवार को फिर से भड़की हिंसा में भी 2 की मौत हो गई और 3 घायल हो गये थे। प्रदर्शन के 100वें दिन मंगलवार को उस वक्त हालात बेकाबू हो गये जब इन लोगों ने कलेक्टर कार्यालय की घेराबंदी कर कॉपर यूनिट को बंद किये जाने की मांग की थी।

तूतीकोरिन में पुलिस फायरिंग में अब तक 13 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है जबकि सैकड़ों लोग घायल हैं। इस हिंसा के बाद से पूरे इलाके में तनाव है और धारा 144 भी लगा दी गई है।
