आखिर पीरियड्स से महिलाएं क्यों महसूस करें शर्मिंदगी, योगा टीचर का वीडियो वायरल

पीरियड्स के धब्बों के साथ महिला ने किया योगा और सोशल मीडिया पर डाला वीडियो। स्टेफनी का ये संदेश तेजी से हो रहा है वायरल।

नई दिल्ली। मासिक धर्म यानी पीरियड्स, जिसका सार्वजनिक जगहों पर आप जोर से नाम तक नहीं ले सकते। जिसे लेकर महिलाएं जहां शर्मिदगी महसूस करती हैं तो पुरूष असहज हो जाते हैं। इसके बारे में कोई खुलकर बात तक नहीं करना चाहता है, लेकिन जानी-मानी फिटनेस एक्सपर्ट स्टेफनी गोंगोरा ने पीरियड्स को मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया है। स्टेफनी ने अपने इन्स्टाग्राम पोस्ट से समाज को आईना दिखाने की कोशिश की है। पीरियड्स को लेकर महिलाओं को सहज करने की कोशिश की है। उनका ये इंस्टाग्राम पोस्ट और वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर खूब वायरल हो रहा है।

इस वीडियो में स्टेफनी एक सफ़ेद कपड़ों में योग कर रही हैं। उनके पैंट पर पीरियड्स के लाल खून का धब्बा साफ़ दिखाई पड़ रहा है। स्टेफनी पीरियड्स के दौरान उसे छिपाने के बजाए उन्हीं कपड़ों में अलग-अलग योगा कर रही है। वो लिखती हैं कि ये गंदा है, दर्दनाक है, लेकिन फिर भी ये खूबसूरत है। फिर मैं इसे दिखाती नहीं। इसे छुपा लेती हूं। वो लिखती हैं कि मैं चीजों को कचरे के नीचे छिपा देती हूं। पीरियड्स में जब दर्द होता है तो एक लंबी सांस लेती हूं और मुस्कुरा के उसे छिपा ले जाती हूं। वो कहती हैं कि टैंपॉन? इस शब्द को जोर से मत बोलो, इसे अपने पर्स की पिछली जेब में, बाथरूम के किसी कोने में शॉपिंग बास्केट में सबसे नीचे छिपा लो। अगर कैशियर कोई महिला हो तो बेहद अच्छा। मैं अपना इवेंट, मीटिंग छोड़ देती हूं। खुद को समझा लेती हूं कि पीरियड है, लेकिन ये सिर्फ पीरियड नहीं बल्कि एक डर है। मुझे डर है कि किसी को पता न चल जाए। वो लिख ती हैं कि दुनिया में करोड़ों युवा औरतें रोज ऑफिस या स्कूल से छुट्टी लेती हैं, क्योंकि उन्हें पीरियड्स में पकड़े जाने का डर होता है। वहां पीरियड्स को लेकर सुविधाएं नहीं होती। लेकिन ये सब जानते हैं कि ये नैचुरल प्रक्रिया है। इससे डरना क्यों? इसे छुपाना क्यों?

I'll tell myself it’s the PMS, sure, but it has more to with the risk of being "caught," at what...I'm not quite sure. . And I’m lucky. . Over 100 million young women around the globe miss school or work for lack of adequate menstrual supplies, & fear of what might happen if the world witnesses A NATURAL BODILY FUNCTION. . WHY? . Because hundreds of years of culture have made us embarrassed to bleed. Have left us feeling dirty and ashamed. . STOP PRETENDING. Stop using silly pet names like Aunt Flo because you're too afraid to say "I'm bleeding" or "vagina." Stop wasting so much effort hiding the very thing that gives this species continuity. . START talking about it. Educate your daughters. Make them understand that it can be both an inconvenience and a gift, but NEVER something to be ashamed about. Educate your sons so they don't recoil from the word tampon. So when a girl bleeds through her khaki shorts in third period (pun intended), they don't perpetuate the cycle of shame and intolerance. .
