The standoff stems from a June 16 incident in Ka aprayag, Chamoli, where a parking dispute led to a violent clash between Nihang pilgrims and locals. Following the arrest of four Nihang members, Sikh groups marched toward Uttarakhand demanding their immediate release. Heavy security, including ITBP and drone surveillance, was deployed to maintain law and order.
