केरल की राजनीति में उस वक्त बड़ा भूचाल आ गया, जब ईडी ने पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पिनराई विजयन, उनकी बेटी वीणा विजयन और उनसे जुड़ी कंपनियों के कई ठिकानों पर एक साथ छापेमारी की। यह कार्रवाई CMRL और वीणा विजयन की आईटी कंपनी एक्सालॉजिक के बीच हुए कथित संदिग्ध लेन-देन को लेकर की गई। जांच एजेंसियों का आरोप है कि 2017 से 2020 के बीच करीब 1.72 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान बिना किसी वास्तविक सेवा के किया गया। वहीं SFIO की जांच में 133 करोड़ रुपये के फर्जी खर्च और कैश ट्रांजैक्शन का भी दावा किया गया है। हाई कोर्ट से ईडी को जांच की अनुमति मिलने के बाद यह कार्रवाई तेज हुई। माकपा ने इसे राजनीतिक बदले की कार्रवाई बताया है, जबकि एजेंसियां इसे भ्रष्टाचार और मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का बड़ा मामला मान रही हैं। A major political storm erupted in Kerala after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at multiple locations linked to former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena Vijayan, and associated companies. The action is related to alleged suspicious financial transactions between CMRL and Veena Vijayan’s IT firm, Exalogic. Investigating agencies claim that around ₹1.72 crore was paid between 2017 and 2020 without any actual services being provided. Meanwhile, the SFIO probe has also alleged fake expenditure and cash transactions worth nearly ₹133 crore. The raids intensified after the Kerala High Court allowed the ED to continue its investigation. While the CPI(M) has termed the action a case of political vendetta, agencies are treating it as a major corruption and money laundering case.
