डीएमके अध्यक्ष एम करुणानिधि का निधन, समर्थकों में शोक की लहर

चेन्नई: तमिलनाडु के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और डीएमके अध्यक्ष एम करुणानिधि का मंगलवार को शाम कावेरी अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। वो पिछले दस दिनों से भर्ती थे। ये खबर सुनने के बाद बड़ी संख्या में पार्टी समर्थक अस्पताल के बाहर एकत्र हो गए। इससे पहले डीएमके के कई नेताओं ने अस्पताल पहुंचकर करुणानिधि का हालचाल लिया। दोपहर में अस्पताल द्वारा जारी बयान में कहा गया था कि 94 वर्षीय करुणानिधि को मेडिकल सपोर्ट पर रखा गया है और उनके स्वास्थ्य की निगरानी की जा रही है। उनकी हालात लगातार बिगड़ती गई और शाम को 6.10 पर उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली।
